In the same that Jesus “grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man, ” (Luke 2:52) we seek to partner with parents in the spiritual development of our children. We do not seek to replace the parents as spiritual leaders in the lives of children, our goal is to supplement spiritual growth in the home. Our Bible classes meet at 9 a.m. for Cradle Roll through 6th grade.
Our Bible classes start with our youngest who are able to sit up in a highchair type seat. Cradle Roll is for babies up to 23 months. Cradle Roll, 2 year olds, and 3 year olds teachers are using Palma Smiley’s curriculum. These classes are taught by song and rhyme. The children remember and anticipate the lessons that are based on repetition.
Pre-K through Kindergarten Bible class teachers are using the Immerse curriculum, Heartshaper, to shape the hearts of students. HeartShaper is built on specific Life Focus each week – taking the Bible and bringing its lessons to each student’s life. Balancing Bible learning with life application, the HeartShaper feature teaches students how to apply the Bible to their lives on a daily basis and form a relationship with God that will last a lifetime.
1st through 5th Grade uses The Gospel Project curriculum to help us teach that the Bible is not a collection of stories, but God’s unified story of redemption. TGP takes kids on a Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture. Kids will discover how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. Kids spend equal time in the Old and New Testaments, learning the key distinctions of each and how they fit together. TGP provides a Christ-centered Bible study. When kids truly experience the gospel, their hearts are transformed. It is the gospel, not good behavior, that changes everything.
6th Grade begins a 3 month study in the book of John in the month of June. They follow this study with an extensive study in the book of Acts starting in September and continue it through the school year. This study is unique in that each chapter will be linked to a letter of the alphabet instead of a number. For example: chapter 1 is A, chapter 2 is B, chapter 3 is C, and so on… This is a helpful way to memorize the main idea of each chapter in Acts.
6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
September – May
*1st-4th Grade: Bible Basics- a rotation of games and presentations on the Bible Basics.

Northside campers participate in a mid-summer Bible Camp at Corin Reed Christian Camp. We always have a great time playing games, swimming, hiking, and being together, but the most important thing we do at camp is study God’s Word. We spend the week focused on a specific topic or scripture for the purpose of growing our faith in Jesus !
June 11-16, 2023
Beginner Camp (1st-3rd Grade)
The purpose of Beginner’s Camp is to introduce children to camp so that they will know what to expect when they are old enough to go to our week-long camp. This camp is a one-night camp. If your child is not comfortable sleeping overnight, we do allow campers to be a day camper.

Summer Blast is our version of Vacation Bible School all summer long on Wednesday evenings in June, July, & August. 2 year olds through 6th grade meet together for singing. They are then dismissed to their classrooms for a Bible lesson. To finish off, they are dismissed to the Outreach Building for 30 minutes of fun activities. We send them home with a drink and a snack or they can enjoy it while parents stand around and fellowship.
