NorthSideYouthGroup

The Northside Youth Group (NSYG) is comprised of our 7th-12th grade teens. We meet on Sunday Mornings for Bible Class and we have a midweek Devotional every Wednesday. We also have Sunday Night LIFE Group, attend awesome events like Winterfest, participate in Summer Camps, Fall and Spring Retreats, and 5th Quarters during the school year! It is our goal to teach teens that in everything that they do, whether it be school, sports, theatre, choir, social media, video games, family life, or any of the millions of things that young people are engaged in these days, they should make it their life’s focus to SEEK GOD FIRST.

Teen Lifegroup

On Sunday evenings during the school year, our teens come together at the Northside Outreach Building or one of our church members’ homes for a time of singing and fellowship. Sometimes we eat, sometimes we play games, but we have an uplifting time, every time!

Mission Trips

Sadly, our 2020 and 2021 Missions to Jonesboro Arkansas to participate in RADIUS WORK-CAMP were canceled due to Covid-19, however, big plans are in the works for future Good News Spreading and Kingdom Working!

Northside Bible Camp

Northside Teens participate in a mid-summer Bible Camp at Corin Reed Christian Camp. We always have a great time playing games, swimming, hiking, and being together, but the most important thing we do at camp is study God’s Word. We spend the week focused on a specific topic or scripture for the purpose of growing our faith in Jesus !

Coming in June of 2022, Ancient Words; TORAH!

Winterfest

Winterfest is a weekend retreat sponsored by the churches of Christ that Northside’s Youth attends each February in Gatlinburg, TN.  Each year, thousands of teens in grades 6-12, youth ministers, and sponsors attend the conference held at the Convention Center in Gatlinburg. The speakers, classes, worship, and fellowship all combine to provide a weekend of spiritual renewal for the teens and adult sponsors.

Youth Retreats

The teens of Northside love going on retreats! We try to do two to three retreats a year, some lasting all weekend and some just for a day. Each retreat serves the purpose of refueling the soul and fostering stronger bonds within the group. We most frequently retreat to Corin Reed Christian Camp, but are investigating some exciting new destinations for a few of our future events!

Service Projects

NSYG has made the choice to be more active in serving others in the year 2020 and beyond! We have recently aided local organizations like City Connections in packing meals to be shipped around the world to help those in need! We are always looking for more ways to be a light to our community and to spread the Good News of Jesus through serving others!

30 Hour Famine

One in nine people in the world don’t get enough to eat. Many poor farmers can’t grow enough food to feed their own families, much less sell to get income for essentials like education and healthcare. That’s why World Vision partners with communities to address immediate food needs — but also to equip them to grow food for the long term. And this change happens when groups like ours raise money through the 30 Hour Famine!

30 Hour Famine is a 30 hour long event that will take place in the Northside Outreach Building where we will fellowship, play games, and learn more about poverty around the world and ways that our group can help those in need!
